Empowering Youth: SUB Law Department Hosts Legal Awareness Program at United College, Narsingdi

The Department of Law, State University of Bangladesh (SUB) successfully organized a Legal Awareness Program at United College, Narsingdi, with the aim of creating legal awareness among young students and encouraging them to understand and exercise their rights responsibly. The session focused on two important areas of law—Cyber Law and Constitutional Law. Students were introduced to the basics of data privacy and protection, online safety and responsibility, constitutional rights, and fundamental freedoms in an easy and interactive way.
The program was attended by approximately 100 participants, including nearly 90 students. Following the main session, ten students of the Department of Law, State University of Bangladesh actively engaged with the participants and shared their knowledge and perspectives on the discussed legal issues.
To make the program more engaging, an interactive quiz competition was organized based on the topics covered during the session. The winners were recognized and awarded prizes for securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions.
The Principal of United College, Narsingdi, expressed his sincere gratitude to the State University of Bangladesh and the Department of Law for taking this meaningful initiative and appreciated the efforts to promote legal awareness among students.
The program was headed by Assistant Professor Nazia Rahman, Department of Law, State University of Bangladesh, reflecting the University’s commitment to taking legal education beyond the classroom and connecting it with the wider community.
