State University of Bangladesh Law Team Excels in 14th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition
In
a remarkable feat, a team from the Department of Law at State University of
Bangladesh (SUB) has shined brightly in the national qualifying rounds of the
prestigious 14th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition-2023. Organized
jointly by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Independent
University, Bangladesh (IUB), the competition witnessed the participation of 30
public and private universities across Bangladesh. The SUB Law team showcased
exceptional legal acumen, securing the 3rd position among the participating
universities and advanced from the Preliminary round to the Semi-Final rounds.
Their outstanding performance was a testament to their dedication and expertise
in the field of law.
The
winning team consisted of three talented individuals who played pivotal roles
in their success. Mashkura Bintay Mohsin emerged as the 1st Oralist,
demonstrating exceptional speaking skills and legal knowledge. Tasnimul Rifat
showcased remarkable oratory skills as the 2nd Oralist, contributing
significantly to the team's success. Provat Bala played a crucial role as the
Researcher, providing in-depth legal research and analysis to support their
arguments. The team was led and guided by their dedicated coach, Cynthia Karim,
a Lecturer of the Law Department at SUB. Under her mentorship, the team honed
their legal expertise and advocacy skills, preparing rigorously for the
competition.
The
Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition is renowned for its challenging
scenarios and rigorous judging criteria, making the achievement of the SUB Law
team even more commendable. The State University of Bangladesh community
