SUB Department of Pharmacy Batch-46 Completes Academic Visits to DU Medicinal Garden and National Botanical Garden.
The students of Batch-46, Department of Pharmacy, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, State University of Bangladesh (SUB), successfully completed a medicinal plant visit on 7 May 2026 as part of their academic learning and practical exposure. The visit included the medicinal plant garden situated at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, followed by a visit to the Bangladesh National Botanical Garden in Mirpur, Dhaka.
The Department expresses sincere gratitude to Professor Dr. Selim Reza, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, for his warm hospitality and kind cooperation throughout the program. The presence and valuable guidance of Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rashid, honorable advisor, Department of Pharmacy, State University of Bangladesh (SUB) greatly enriched the learning experience of the students.
The visit was accompanied by respected faculty members Mr. Syed Mumtahin Mannan Siam, Ms. Marina Akter, and Mr. Deepankar Sutradhar, whose supervision and support contributed significantly to the successful completion of the program.
The educational visit provided students with valuable practical exposure to medicinal plants and their pharmacological significances. Such academic activities help students enhance their knowledge regarding the identification, therapeutic importance, and potential applications of medicinal plants in the field of pharmacy.
