The Department of Food Engineering and Nutrition Science (FENS), State University of Bangladesh (SUB), actively participated in the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026, held from 12 to 14 September 2026 at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre, Dhaka. Organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and implemented by the National Museum of Science and Technology, the fair aimed to connect research, innovation, industry, and entrepreneurship under the theme of “Innovate to Market.”

Students from FENS enthusiastically participated in the fair and showcased innovative food products developed through their own research and development (R&D) activities. Their participation demonstrated the department’s commitment to practical learning, food product innovation, and research-driven education.

The fair brought together researchers, students, universities, industries, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to promote knowledge exchange and transform innovative ideas into commercially viable products. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, MP inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of transforming home-grown innovations into marketable products and strengthening connections between innovation and industry.

Participation in this national platform provided FENS students with valuable exposure to emerging technologies, entrepreneurship, and industry-oriented product development. It also reinforced the department’s commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability, and collaboration between academia and industry.
