The Department of Food Engineering and Nutrition Science (FENS), State University of Bangladesh (SUB), organized an industrial study tour to Akij Bakers Ltd. on 09 September 2026, involving students from the 56th Day, 57th Evening and 58 Day batches.

The visit aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical industrial applications and provide students with firsthand exposure to modern food processing operations. The program commenced with an informative corporate seminar highlighting the company's history, operational activities, organizational policies, and market presence.

During the factory tour, students observed automated baking operations, continuous thermal processing, quality control procedures, and modern packaging systems. The visit offered valuable insights into industrial production workflows, food safety practices, process efficiency, and quality assurance in large-scale bakery manufacturing.

The department expresses its sincere gratitude to the management and technical team of Akij Bakers Ltd. for their warm hospitality and valuable guidance.
