Mijanur Rahman, born and raised in Gaibandha, Bangladesh, has demonstrated a strong dedication to both academic and professional excellence in architecture. After completing his early education at Sadullapur ML Pilot High School and Ahmed Uddin Shah Shishu Niketon School and College, he went on to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) at Khulna University, graduating in 2024 with the highest distinction in his class. Recognized for his academic achievements alongside of interest in Heritage Conservaion, he was selected as one of only twelve professionals from Bangladesh to participate in CyARK’s 3D Documentation of Cultural Heritage training program. During his undergraduate studies, Mijanur excelled in national and international design competitions, including the AYDA Design Competition, and contributed as a research assistant on various projects at the Khulna University Research Cell and BSMRSTU Research Cell. After graduation, he began his career as a Junior Architect at Geo Smart Planning, later transitioning to academia as a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University. In September 2024, he joined the State University of Bangladesh as a Lecturer in Architecture. His research and professional interests lie in heritage preservation and exploring the integration of cultural values within architectural practice.
