Syed Mahmud Husain joined the CSE Department at the State University of Bangladesh as an Associate Professor on February 1, 2025. With over 17 years of teaching experience and 15 years in industry, he has held faculty positions at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), the University of Kelaniya (UoK) in Sri Lanka, and North South University (NSU) in Bangladesh. He has also worked in leadership roles at ABS Wastewater Australia, Honeywell SEA, and BCA Academy, Singapore. His teaching and research expertise span computer science, power systems, industrial automation, and business management. In 2024, he published six research papers focusing on major infrastructure projects like the Padma Multipurpose Bridge and Dhaka Metro Rail. Having contributed to these large-scale projects, he integrates real-world applications into academic teaching. He is also certified in ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment), Green Mark Facility Management (GMFM), BIM, and Six Sigma.
