Rakibul Hasan Shanto has joined Department of Pharmacy, State University of Bangladesh (SUB) as a Lecturer on 20 January, 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Pharmacy department and a Master of Pharmacy degree with a specialization in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology from University of Dhaka. His master's thesis, titled "Variation of Gene Encoding Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (+936 C/T) in Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in the Bangladeshi Population," earned him the prestigious National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship for the academic year 2023-24, awarded by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. He has also got Government Honours Scholarship in 2021, Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall Trust Fund Scholarship in 2020, Bangladesh American Pharmacist Association Scholarship in 2018 for his academic excellence. His educational journey is complemented by practical experiences, including industrial training at ACME Laboratories Ltd. and a six-month hospital training program at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
