Muhammed Zakir Hossain is an accomplished academic and researcher with a strong educational background, including an MSc in Business and Economics from Karlstad Business School, Sweden, and an MBA and BBA from the University of Dhaka. He is an Associate Professor (DBS) and Director (OSA) at the State University of Bangladesh (SUB), where he has served since 2013. Before SUB, he was a Lecturer at Bangladesh University and a Research Assistant at Deakin University, Australia. Muhammed has also contributed to the non-profit sector as an Assistant Director at TMSS, a national NGO in Bangladesh. He has published widely in international and local journals and is dedicated to advancing knowledge and student development in his field.

- Served TMSS, a national NGO, as an Assistant Director from 2nd July 2003 to 31st December 2004 in the Department of Research, Evaluation, and Monitoring.
