Prof Hussain, a public health academician and oral health specialist of Bangladesh, has about 30 years’ experience of teaching health sciences in different institutes and Universities in home and abroad including as the Dean, Faculty of Public Health, Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS), adjunct Professor, School of Pharmacy and Public Health, Independent University (IUB), adjunct Professor, Dept. of Pharmaceutical sciences, North South University (NSU), Principal, Mandy Dental College, Dhaka and Visiting Professor, Dept. of Public Health, National Cheng kung University, Taiwan. He studied Pharmacology (PhD) at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan and MPH at American University for sovereign nations (AUSN, USA), worked as post-doctoral fellow at Indiana University, USA. He had his bachelor (BDS) from Dhaka Dental College, under Dhaka University in 1991 and post-graduation (DDS) from BSMMU in 2001. He has 56 publications in national and international peer reviewed reputed journal. According AD scientific index 2022, he ranked 318 among all scientist in Bangladesh. He is a good team player and organizer who has the ability to lead, motivate and supervise the activities of others. Currently, he is supervising M Phill student at Dhaka University (DU) and PhD students at Rajshahi University and Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). He attended many international conferences as presenter, key note speaker and session chair including India, Nepal, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Portugal, Spain, USA and Australia. He is the Vice-President of Public Health Association of Bangladesh, Advisor of Bangladesh Doctors Foundation (BDF) and also member of many national and international professional bodies including USA based World Emergency COVID19 Pandemic Ethics (WeCope) Committee. Helping humanity through voluntary work is the passion of Prof Hussain. He already organized more than 30 voluntary blood donation camp, 41 free medical and dental camp throughout the country where thousands of poor people received free consultation and medicine of their needs. He is a regular voluntary blood donor and have donated blood more than 20 times for peoples in need.
