Al-Amin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at the University of Dhaka. He currently serves as a Governing Body Member of Addin Hospital, Chairman of the Governing Body of DIIT, and a Member of the Governing Body of Sheikh Borhanuddin College under the National University. He is also a member of the selection committees of various public and private universities.
