Shahjada Arafat is a dedicated Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at the State University of Bangladesh. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (Professional) from the University of Dhaka, where his research included the synthesis and biological evaluation of both pyrazoline and thiazolidinedione derivatives assessed through antioxidant, antimicrobial, cytotoxic, antidiabetic studies as well as in silico drug likeness and molecular docking analyses and also extended into published phytochemical investigations. His outstanding academic performance was recognized with the prestigious National Science & Technology (NST) Fellowship for 2024–2025, awarded by the Government of Bangladesh. He has also developed significant hands on experience through industrial training at DBL Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, six months of hospital training at Dhaka Medical College & Hospital, and a year long research fellowship at the University of Dhaka. With this rare blend of theoretical rigor, practical industry and clinical exposure, and cutting edge research capabilities, Shahjada Arafat is exceptionally well positioned to advance pharmaceutical innovation and contribute meaningfully to teaching and research both in Bangladesh and internationally.
