Md. Rafij Khan serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Journalism, Communication and Media Studies at the State University of Bangladesh. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS, Honours) and a Master of Social Sciences (MSS) in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka. Before entering academia, Mr. Rafij worked as a Sub-Editor at The Business Standard, one of Bangladesh’s leading English-language daily newspapers, where he gained extensive experience in news editing, reporting and newsroom management. He is also the Co-Founder of Genesis Foundation, a community development organization dedicated to promoting youth engagement and social innovation. Mr. Rafij’s professional background in journalism and development communication informs his academic practice, enabling him to integrate practical insights with theoretical perspectives. His teaching and research interests include media writing, news reporting, digital communication, public relations and the intersection of media and social change.
