Ehsan Mostafa is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the State University of Bangladesh. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He completed his SSC from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and his HSC from Notre Dame College, Dhaka. Professionally, he has served as an Intern Architect at Studio Morphogenesis Ltd. (SMGL), where he collaborated on architectural competitions and design projects. His diverse professional portfolio also includes experience as a Graphic Designer, collaborating with Hulo Design Studio and Studio Shwo, and as an Illustrator for SHOUT magazine (The Daily Star). He has also been actively involved in social and humanitarian initiatives. He contributed to social development through his involvement with the Give Bangladesh Foundation as a volunteer in HQ Communications, where he was part of the winning team for Campaign Shuddhota, a volunteer-led WASH awareness initiative. His participation as a rapporteur in the Stakeholder Workshop on Commoning Urban Lifelines at BUET reflects his engagement with collaborative and participatory processes. His work is shaped by an interest in socially responsive architecture, visual communication and community-focused design. His undergraduate thesis project, located in the coastal region of Khulna, Bangladesh, explored the synchronization of housing and shelter systems to enhance disaster resilience in vulnerable communities. His academic performance has been recognized through multiple merit-based awards, including the University Merit Scholarship and the Dean’s List Scholarship at BUET. His interests lie in architectural design, community-focused spaces, visual representation and the intersection of architecture with social engagement. He aims to develop as an educator and researcher while contributing meaningfully to architectural discourse and practice in Bangladesh.
