Liasa Yeasmin Lia is a Bachelor of Architecture graduate from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Her academic and research interests focus on climate-resilient architecture, AI-assisted design and decision-support systems, and community-driven rural housing. Her undergraduate thesis investigated adaptive rural housing and livelihood resilience frameworks for climate-vulnerable communities in Bangladesh through a bottom-up, design-led approach integrating environmental and socio-spatial intelligence.
She has gained international professional experience through architectural internships at Architectβs Atelier Ryo Abe, Tokyo, Japan, and HOUT Architecture Inc., Canada, contributing to design development, visualization, and research-oriented architectural workflows. Her broader interests include vernacular architecture, self-help housing systems, participatory design processes, and computationally informed climate-responsive architecture.
