Tanjim Ahmed is a graduate in Agro Process and Food Engineering from the Department of Food Engineering (formerly Agro Product Processing Technology) at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh. He completed his BSc in 2022 and MS in 2024, building a strong foundation in advanced food processing, food safety, and functional food development.
He is actively engaged in student mentoring, laboratory instruction, and demonstrations, supporting undergraduate practical learning and promoting safe laboratory practices. He guides students through experimental procedures and analytical techniques alongside his research activities.
He has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in reputed international journals, contributing to ultrasound-assisted processing, bioactive compounds, and sustainable product development. He served as a Research Assistant for 1 year on a government-funded project on natural colorant extraction and functional food formulation, and has presented his research at international conferences.
His research interests include food waste valorization, oxygen scavenging packaging, advanced preservation, bioactive compounds, non-thermal processing, and sustainable innovations. He has strong laboratory expertise in physicochemical, microbiological, antioxidant, and shelf-life analyses, and is proficient in FTIR, AAS, SEM, UV–Vis spectroscopy, and data analysis tools such as SPSS, R, Python, OriginPro, C programming, and Design-Expert.
