Mr. Sadat Hasan is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Studies at State University of Bangladesh. He completed his B.A. (Hons.) and M.A. in English from the University of Rajshahi in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Passionate to teaching in tertiary level he started his career as a Lecturer in English Department at Bangladesh University in 2008. He served English Department, BU in different positions- Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Assistant Professor. He was the Coordinator of the department at BU for about five years in both B.A.(Hons.) and M.A. programs. He also worked as an Assistant Proctor at BU for about six years. Apart from that he was also the Adjunct Faculty at Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST) and BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). Mr. Hasan obtained his second Master’s Degree in ELT from Jahangirnagar University in 2018 where he stood first. He published three articles in different journals. He teaches courses from both literature and language streams. His research areas include Post Method Pedagogy, Teaching English Language through Literature, Developing Four Skills in English Language, Approaches and Methods in English Language Teaching and English for Academic & Professional Purposes. Classical and Shakespearean Literature, Romantic Poetry, Victorian Poetry and Novels are his major areas of interest in Literature. He is a life- time member of Bangladesh English Language Teachers Association (BELTA). He also successfully completed the teacher training course on Teaching Methods and Techniques at BUFT in 2016. Reading and reciting poems are Mr. Hasan’s favorite hobbies. He firmly believes that a dedicated teacher is a great change maker of the society.
