Rifat Sultana is a lecturer of the Department of Journalism, Communication and Media Studies. She obtained her MSS and BSS degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka in 2013 and 2012 respectively. She worked as a freelance journalist in the Dhaka bureau of BBC World Service for more than five years. She also has experience as a Sub-editor in United News of Bangladesh (UNB), a renowned news agency in Bangladesh.
