Introduction
Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at
the State University of Bangladesh. As an integral part of the School of
Science and Technology, the department is dedicated to excellence in education,
research, and innovation in the field of computing. To cope up with current
data related generation we are offering M.Sc. in Data Science and Machine
Learning program. The department has an assemblage of spacious laboratories for
various purposes such as Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Big Data Processing,
Intelligent Computing, Natural Language Processing, Cloud Computing,
Multimedia, Computing and Communications etc. These laboratories are equipped
with state-of-the-art facilities. Students have to complete both core and elective
courses. Elective courses provide foundation support for the student's specialization
area. Courses are conducted utilizing advanced technology with an emphasis on
hands-on training. Working with excellent experienced and impressive academicians,
a student-to-lecturer ratio of 25:1, and a computer ratio of 1:1, the students
are assured of high-quality education, suited for the evolving era. The program
of M.Sc. in Data Science and Machine Learning is implemented, making full use
of these outstanding capacities and resources.
ADMISSION PROCESS
The
university operates a round the year admission system divided into semesters
i.e. Spring (January-June) and Fall (July-December). The students are
required to fulfill the university admission requirement besides the UGC
guidelines. The admission forms and relevant information can be collected from
the Admission Office. Completed applications together with required documents
should be submitted to the Admission Office as per deadlines. For convenience, the
admission office is also open on Fridays and Saturdays besides the normal
university working hours.
Admission Eligibility
A four-year undergraduate degree in

with basic background of Mathematics (minimum one 3-credit course on linear algebra, complex variables and number system), or a three-year undergraduate degree and one-year master’s degree in any of the above mentioned subjects with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4
